SUMMARY:Civil War Living History Event
DESCRIPTION:The Southern Ohio Genealogical Society is participating in two special events in May. The weekend of May 13 & 14 we will be at the Civil War Living History event just outside Highland at 12265 Antioch Road. There will be Blue/Grey Militias in Mock Battle\, Infantry/Artillery Demonstrations\, Blacksmith Demonstrations\, Tea Party at 12:30 pm in Saloon\, Western Costume Contest at 3:00 pm Saturday\, Sutlers and Craft Booths and Church Service 10:00 am Sunday. Hours are 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday. Re-enactors from Ohio\, Kentucky and Indiana will represent the 48th OVI\, 54th OVI\, 21st Ohio Independent Artillery\, 5th Ohio Light Artillery and various other Union and Confederate units.

Schedule is as follows: 10:00 – Local Trivia\, 11:00 – Women of Highland County\, 12:00 – Civil War Reenactors\, 1:00 – Abe Lincoln\, 2:00 – Announcement of Prizes.
